What is NagarDrishti?

Nagar Drishti is a civic platform that aims to collect and visualize constituency-level data across all 70 Delhi Vidhan Sabha constituencies. We aim to bring to light the often-invisible geographies of urban neglect at the intersection of journalism, participatory governance, and public health. We seek to reframe how we perceive, document, and act upon the everyday crises of sanitation, waste management, and infrastructural marginality in the capital city.
Through geo-tagged visual documentation, citizen surveys, and field observations. From unorganised dalaos to the labour of municipal safai karamcharis, we render legible the informal economies of disposal, and make visible the civic lacunae that disproportionately affect low-income, peri-urban, and caste-marginalised neighbourhoods.
Nagar Drishti is not merely a platform for data collection, but also a provocation for accountability. We invite residents, researchers, elected representatives, and state institutions into a shared project of empirical scrutiny and constructive action. It is, in spirit and design, a pedagogy of seeing the city differently – through the eyes of its most affected, and with the clarity of evidence.
We hope this tool serves not only as a mirror to the state, but also as a map for civic transformation that engages both the aspirations of urban policy and the realities of ground-level implementation.
